The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company point produced for intervention experiences a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to enable sassa status the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
